The U.S. ITC will proceed with an investigation into Canadian exports of uncoated, groundwood paper. That comes just ahead of the second round of NAFTA negotiations, but after a decision on softwood lumber exports from Canada was postponed. While the product itself is small in the context of total Canada-U.S. trade at 0.2% of the total, when taken with the other forestry product cases it may feature in the NAFTA talks.
