Employment in the U.S. logistics industry increased for an 82nd straight month in May, though the 1.5% expansion was the slowest since August 2013. The rate of decline seen in the waterborne industry accelerated for a fourth straight month despite booming port activity. Airborne employment slowed to just 2% growth. One bright spot is rail. While employment is still falling, the decline was the slowest since the slide started in September 2015.
