U.S. aluminum prices are starting to factor in the prospect of new tariffs on imports from Canada according to S&P Global Platts. That’s become a possibility after U.S. imports of aluminum from Canada surged in the wake of an exemption granted from section 232 tariffs and comes as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement trade deal has come into force.
