Oakland Seeks New Growth, Trees a Challenge

Ags - Forestry 124 Canada 495 Corp - Ports 882 Mode - Seaborne 1804 U.S. 5323

New investment in the Port of Oakland by TraPac could increase its capacity by 10%. Panjiva data shows that its import handling in September grew 3%, lagging regional peer Seattle’s 8%. Continued growth from Canada is far from assured – it has been the result of lumber regulations that are currently being renegotiated.
