Thai exports jumped 10% in November on a year earlier, well above the 2% expected by economists, as a result of a 6% increase in average oil prices. This will likely increase further in December with global oil prices 37% above the same period a year earlier. Exports to the U.S. increased just 5% as a decline in shipments of rice, down 1%, were offset by a 57% climb in oven and air conditioning equipment.
