Panasonic has indicated that sales of its electronics products are facing two major challenges from the U.S.-China trade war. Firstly tariff uncertainties have meant the firm’s “Chinese customers don’t know what to invest in”, cutting spending on Panasonic’s components. Second Panasonic’s contracts with Tesla cover components that face higher tariffs, which it may not be able to pass on.
