The USTR has launched five WTO disputes regarding retaliatory duties against America’s section 232 steel and aluminum reviews. That raises the prospect of additional duties on $28.5 billion of imports. The process is complicated by the ongoing section 301 tariff spat with China as well as NAFTA negotiations which are due to restart later this month.
